The freshman girls had a good week.  At the Freshman Tournament at Dunbar on Monday they defeated Lafayette, which was the only team in Lexington that they had not beaten.  It took them three games to beat Lafayette because of some poor adjustments in the second game.  After returning the same rotation as the first game, our girls were able to recover.

The second match against Dunbar was not pretty.  Dunbar's 13 girls clearly had more energy than our 6 and had been resting while watching the Tates Creek / Lafayette third game.  With no timeouts and no substitutions, our girls went down pretty easily.  That was a little bit of a surprise to Dunbar, since they had lost to us earlier in the year.

After beating Henry Clay last night, the freshman now have lost only three matches, two to Dunbar and one to Lafayette.

The freshman will have a chance to go 3-0 versus Henry Clay on Monday.

Here are some of the pictures of the last few games:
Lafayette (F/JV)
Harrison County (F/JV/V)
Dunbar (Varsity)
Bulldog Bash (JV)

The FRESHMEN did an awesome job last night!  YOU, girls, made me proud to be a CREEKER!!!!!  You had me scared that first match, but you pulled your heads together and came back and not only beat HC, but showed them that you deserve THE TOP DOG creeky award!  Well done, ladies.  As far as the JV and VARSITY!  All I can say is "WOOF!"  You both deserve the ROLL OVER AND PLAY DEAD award! (I warned you it was comin'!)   Yes, HC is a good team but NOT THAT GOOD to bury you like they did.  One more chance for a resurrection.  Boone County next Thursday.  Will the CREEK RISE or RUN DRY?
