The Creek has not dried up after all. It is not at flood stage . . . yet! But there is a trickle! Good job this weekend, ladies. And, actually you were on the verge of having a good stream going. You played some mighty good teams, ladies, and they were determined to dam you! Manuel and Owensboro Catholic are both top ranked teams. Manuel may be the #1 public school in the state and you played right with them. Owensboro Catholic is in the top 20 if not 10 or 15. Hey, you were beating them in two . . . just needed what four more points? Chemistry changed! And in high school volleyball, it's all about the chemistry. But you all played well, ladies! SUBS, STARTERS . . .ALL of you played well that match! Connor we won't talk about, but on to the CREEKYS.

The CAMPBELL SOUP AWARD goes to none other than ALLIE CAMPBELL. She was just plain ole mmmm . . . mmmm . . . good. Nice hits and passes on the mark. Did I even see a set? Well done Allie. Bear with me on this one . . . "I'm a Trout, no I'm a Salmon . . . I'm a Trout, no I'm a Salmon . . . I'm a Trout, no . . . " you get the idea. SARA TROUT gets the TROUTMON AWARD for her going UP AGAINST THE FLOW of Fern Creek. They tried to stop her, but there was just no stopping her. Awesome job Sara! The I SEE DAY(LIGHT) AWARD goes to KATIE DAVIS. Katie started shinning this match and didn't let up until we were done with Brossart. She was hitting straight down, doing that cute little "C". Katie, you made the sun shine on the CREEK. The fans could actually begin to see DA(vis) light in an otherwise foggy tournament. Then it was MILLER TIME! The MILLER TIME AWARD goes to our own little JESSICA MILLER. Once Katie helped us see DA(vis), Jessica warmed it up and we all wanted a cold one . . . a refreshing drink from the CREEK (pullleeeeeze)! She got hits that I would have ducked, run, or just laid down and died of a heart attack from. She also served up some MILLER to a thirsty Fern Creek. What can I say? You quenched the thirst girl! Well done! And, what about MEGAN OWEN? She gets the I'VE BEEN OWEN YOU THIS FOR A LONG TIME AWARD! Again, great serve receives, great passes! Two great matches! In fact, you had a very nice tournament! No game is the same without the BABE! JORDAN RUTH gets THE BABE RUTH AWARD! She was the Sultan of Serve! The Walli of Wallop! The Maharajah of Mash! The Behemoth of Burst! She was the BABE! (Ya'll didn't think I knew anything about baseball, did ya?) Again, great passes. And we all know the key to a good set is a good pass! Well done, Jordan! The Hench and Hench show . . . LAURA HENCH gets the MONKEY HENCH (in any other world known as the MONKEY WRENCH) AWARD and ROBYN HENCH gets the IN A HENCH (or in this case PINCH) AWARD. Going into this match we were 0-3, we needed to pull out the right tools in order to win and who better than the Hench and Hench show. Laura threw a Hench (literally) into the plan of Fern Creek and Brossart to dam the TRUE CREEK! Didn't happen! Well done Laura! And Robyn, again going in 0-3, she knew the PINCH were in. She set, served, passed and was AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME . . . . did I say AWESOME digging up tips! Any way you'd give up setting for the next few games and play defense? Way to go in a PINCH, ROBYN HENCH! While we're talking about SISTER ACTS, the WHEELER GIRLS had a show of their own going on! HANNAH AND ABI WHEELER get the TWO WHEELER AWARD. Again in the real world when talking about a two wheeler we generally think bicycle. THINK AGAIN! In the world of volleyball, we're talking MACK TRUCK!!! Hannah and Abi (along with Katie) workin' that net! OMIGOSH! It was a 6-man pile-up! for Fern Creek and Brossart! They were diggin up serve receive, they were pickin' tips, they were blocking, hitting. Gosh! You did pretty darn good girls! Last but not least, little HILARY CHINN gets the KEEP YOUR CHINNS UP, GIRLS! AWARD. She came in firing up sets during Fern Creek and didn't let up until the job was done with Brossart. She kept all the girls chins high as well as the sets! AWESOME JOB out there little one! And, did I mention her serves! Well done! OMIGOSH! Well done!

Boone Thursday ladies! Keep it up! This is working! Keep it going! WOW!!!!! Who knows? Everyone is looking past you, let's show them a FLOOD is on the way!
