I think it's a grand idea.  I also think it should be delivered by our varsity girls since they were the ones that Lafayette beat this year AND not us parents.  I also think it would be a grand idea to get a rose for each girl on their varsity and let our girls hand deliver it, And, if we can't afford it, I will buy!  I just want us to be gracious and supportive and let them know we think it's awesome that they get to go to state.  I am very, very excited for them.  They deserve this so much!  They have worked hard and lost only two matches!  What an awesome season!  They have a great chance of even making it further than we did last year!  They deserve all the appreciation and support that our girls can give them!

Agreed.  We should be supportive of their team.  If the entire varsity team is unable to find time to do it, then I think it should be limited to the seniors and juniors to go to a practice.

Just curious to know why you think only juniors and seniors should go to Lafayette? My daughter would be crushed if someone told her that she couldn't be part of the group that is invited to go to a practice and congratulate Lafayette. She has a few friends on the team including varsity and jv.

I think ANY team member and/or parent that wants to show support for Lafayette should go and have the opportunity to hug those girls and wish them the very best!

Hey Pat,

I don't really think anyone meant to convey the message that any one be EXCLUDED.  For me, I think it was more of a consideration thing.  For 26 girls and their mommies and daddies all to traipse into a practice would definitely be an inconvenience to a team that is trying to get ready for state.  I definitely agree that it would be far more convenient for two or three girls to interrupt.  My girls could care less about being involved.  They have been friends with several of the girls on Lafayette's team for well over six or so years (as have the Hench girls). . . have chatted with them prior and since regionals as I have with their parents, so it's not a big deal for them to be involved with this.  They'll be all over them after state anyway.  I think this is what happens when so many people become involved with a project.  :-)  I do think several of you need to get together and do something for this team that has worked so hard.  And, really it's okay for the Wheelers not to be involved.  Like I've said, we've seen several of them since and will see them afterwards so it's not a big deal to us.  I was hoping to go to state myself and continue to help the parents cheer. But I have to administer the ACT/SAT at Dunbar Saturday, but I am sure they would love for all of you that can go to state to go and support them! They are so needy! (After regionals, I think they are wanting to give me an honorary LHSVPM Award.  Yes, I was right in the middle of them all doing what I do best!)     State is just in Frankfort this year!  Another way we can show support.  :-)

I agree with Barb.  It's just logistics, nothing more.
