I want to do a very simple task, start an app after device boots. However, this causes another unrelated, start at boot app, to stop.  Task won't run unless I manually clear the stopped apps dialog box. This stop appears to happen BEFORE tasker has does anything (the tasker Icon yet to appear at top of screen).
Why would Tasker cause another unrelated app to stop.
How can I get around this problem?
Lenovo Tab 7 Essential TB-7304, part no ZA300123AU running Android 7., Tasker bought from Goole play store today.

And you are not going to tell us what that other app is? Or what message it indicates when it stops?

I apologise. The app that stopped was called 'Internet Speed Meter Lite". The mesaage that told me it had stopped said "Internet Speed Meter Lite has stopped" with only option being  "X close"

And this was before the tasker 'lightninig bolt" icon appears at top of my screen - ie I close the 'stopped message', then the icon appears and tasker does what I want, start the new app "Night Clock +"

It sounds like to me that its the fault of the  'Internet Speed Meter Lite" app. It must not like being pushed into the background by Tasker firing up. It probably happens when any app replaces the ISML in the foreground. I would contact that developer and ask him/her about it.
