Tasker app and Joaoapps's plugins Security

When Tasker or one of your plugins accesses sensitive user data (e.g., notifications, SMS, location, clipboard, etc.), is this data accessible only within the app, or can other apps on the device (malicious or otherwise) potentially access that data as well?

In other words:

• Are there protections in place to prevent other third-party apps from reading the data that Tasker or your plugins collect and process?
• Could a malicious app on the same device abuse Tasker or your plugins (e.g. via intents, exported components, shared logs, etc.) to access user data indirectly?

This is important for users (like me) who are highly concerned about privacy and want to ensure that granting permissions to Tasker or AutoApps won’t unintentionally expose data to other apps on the device.

Tasker cannot access that kind of stuff unless you program Tasker to do that. Other programs cannot access that data either, unless you specifically program Tasker to allow such functionality.

Hackers could use Tasker to obtain sensitive information if they use social engineering to get you to run their Tasker code (hey, check out this nifty Tasker code. Merge it into your Tasker and try running it!). Of course that is the same way they get people to side load their malicious apps.

Tasker and plugins will only send data to other apps if you explicitely set them up to do so. No data is shared otherwise.
