I know this is a plugin for tasker but hopefully someone can answer this here.

I have created a task which uses autonotification to show some info. I have also created a button in that notification that I want to use to perform an action.
But I cant figure out how to launch the action when I press the button.

The button have the label: download and I have tried creating a new profile using State/plugin/Autonotification Intercept...
but I have not found anything there to use.

Take a look at this...

You'll notice the action on touch message:
Charging Notification (295)
Abort Existing Task
A1: AutoNotification [ Configuration:Title: Battery Level
Ticker: Battery: %BATT
Action on Touch: batterysettings
Status Bar Icon: ic_lock_idle_charging
Id: Batt
Priority: -2
Number: %BATT
Max Progress: 100
Progress: %BATT Package:com.joaomgcd.autonotification Name:AutoNotification Timeout (Seconds):0 ]
A2: Variable Set [ Name:%Batt To:%BATT Do Maths:Off Append:Off ]

This message is used in this way to create AutoNotification buttons...
Profile: Battery Settings (182)
State: AutoNotification [ Configuration:batterysettings (exact) ]
Enter: Battery Setting (169)
A1: Battery Info

Hope that gives you a better understanding how it works. Let me know if you have questions!

The buttons send AutoNotification commands that trigger State/Plugin/AutoNotification profiles.  Here's more information about the command system that the AutoApps use:
