TaoNotes was updated. We recommend to upgrade for all registered users.

 

The interface of the program was changed (Nth time :O))… But this time it seems it has better usability.

 

All tag lists are grouped on the left panel with tabbed interface (we will call these controls Tag Navigator) …

 

 The former “tags/bookmarks” renamed to “samples”…. It’s because of they are  not tags indeed, they are results of tagging…

The real tags are contexts, projects, etc…. The samples are items which are taken from main outline by some criteria…

 Samples help to perform on tagged items some operations…. Not altering the main outline editing…

 

The big improvement is clicking of context and project tags automatically fills The Samples window with related items ranged by priority.

Thus just click on @John_Smith context gives you all items related to John Smith with the most important on the top of the list.

 

Rapid Entry pane is on the top of the outline panel now…. You can use drag and drop for adding (not assigning as was before!) contexts to the context field…

 

Brand new icons for re-built toolbar.

 

Details window fills the whole right panel… It’s much better IMHO…

 

New commands like Next->Next Action by Context or by Project added…. Let’s suppose the context @John_Smith is choosen…. Then performing command

Navigate->Next->NA by Context will bring you to the most probable action for @John_Smith context…

 

Many bug fixes were made for HTML generating engine… It fully supports fore and back colors now…. Items with back colors are rendered as tables now…
