I just started using TaoNotes. I have a couple of questions.
Why doesn't esc always work to save a note?

Are any other fonts or sizes available?

When I try to capture text, I get this message:"win f5 message attempt
to add empty subitem empty item." What does that mean?

Thank you for a question... It's a little bit illogical, indeed... :O)
I will change this thing in the next update of TaoNotes... Escape will
work as Close command (as it should be).... It will ask save or not the
changes? If yes will save editing, if no just close Edit Window... not
altering item's content.

Besides, still there is no mechanism for determine were changes made or
not.... We will fix this soon too... Now it ask this question on closing any
way (was editing/changing or not)...

Are any other fonts or sizes available?

The one font is used to display text in the outline... You have a couple
of options to choose one of the predefined fonts: Tools->Options->Fonts.
But this list is limited.

Do you mean Are any font foe EVERY item available? No. Unfortunately not in
this version. You can choose color and background color for every item.
(Edit Window->Details Tab->Fore. Back.)

It means there is nothing if the system clipboard right now and you are
not copied selection before Hitting Win-F5... You should select AND COPY
something before hitting Win-F5!

Isn't there always something in the windows clipboard if it has been
used in the current session? I can paste from the clipboard into other
programs hours after I have put something in the clipboard.
Another question: why does the "export text" function include the HTML?
I only want to export a plain text file.

Yes, you're right, there is a kind of bug in the program right now....
suddenly it "clears" what should pasted and inserts empty item... I have to
re-copy text, return and paste again... I did not find why it happends...
But I will! :O)

Actually, do not know right now.... I will look at the code... and return to
you answering this question... Ok?

It seems I already found the solution for this bug... The bug's root
was in the notebook switching code: when I switch to another notebook
the program tried to copy selected items into internal outline
clipboard and cleared the Windows clipboard content in the unexpected
way.... Now I will alter code.... It should save to internal clipboard
on cut/copy events..... not on notebook switching! Yes. I will fixed in
the next update...

Actually, it's already ready :O) but I will not publish it.....
Hackers cracked the current version.... and there was enourmous traffic
to my site (from cracking sites).... they've "eaten up" almost all my
month prepayed traffic for my new site www.taonotes.com .... That's not
good of course.... and I will wait till 9 October to release new
version update + may be implement better protection..... I can not
"gift" 95% of my traffic to cracked versin lovers.... :O)
