A new version of Tanky-Tank has been released! (For those of you who
are bound to complain about the 0.10.0 number: Screw the decimal
system.)
It's got some pretty sweet improvements:
* Terrain shadows!
* Multi-layer terrain.
* New Maps: Choke Point and Freeway.
* GUI front-end for lobby server.
* Revamped map editor.
* Improvements to collision detection algorithms, thus improving
overall performance.
* Fixed "Unable to find or make node at path 'LivesLimitEnable'"
bug.
* Playing a quickmatch no longer changes the saved custom game
settings.
* Fixed bug where altering the game settings had no effect!
* Fixed quickmatches being played with wrong settings.
* Fixed bug where AI players were counted against player limit.
* Non-square maps are now shown with the correct aspect ratio in
the map preview box.
* Put tabs on options menu.
* Any old maps not distributed with this release have become
invalidated and will not show up in the map list.
Download it now at http://www.tanky-tank.com/tanky-tank. Or start
Tanky-Tank and wait for the "new version" message to appear.
This release took WAY too much work. You don't want to know how much
crap I had to fix to get terrain shadows working. Anyway, even with
the new shadows and multi-layer terrain, performance may actually be
better due to collision detection and AI optimizations.
This should be a pretty stable release -- Dave and I did a lot of
testing on it. As usual, please let me know via bug report or email if
you have any problems. And remember, when submitting a bug report
PLEASE give me your name so I know who to ask questions to.

As noted above, this release invalidates any old maps you might have,
which will no longer show up on the map list. All maps officially
distributed with the previous version have been converted to the new
format and distributed with this version. But if you have any non-
official maps that you want to keep, please send them to me and I'll
run them through my converter and send them back to you to be "cleaned
up" by hand.
