Just a reminder about the fencing demo I mentioned at Monday's class.
I am teaching a Hamlet unit study for a homeschool co-op, Think Day, and would like to have a demonstration of what a fencing duel might have looked like to Hamlet, particularly in Act V. This does not have to be a re-enactment, but rather a mini-intro to fencing. It would be really cool to have some serious live fencing action for the kids to observe and interpret. I'm also open to any ideas you might have about what this should actually be.
Right now, it looks like the date will be Monday, March 22. The class is from 1:30-2:30, but you wouldn't need to start until 1:50 or 2, depending on when you could be there. I will be leading a discussion at 1:30 that you are welcome to be a part of.
The location is at Northwest Community Church on Hutchinson Rd, just north of Ehrlich Rd.
Please let me know if you are interested in participating in this demo.
Thank you!
