ஆயிரம் உயிராய் உயிர்த்தெழுந்தோம்
ஆயுதம் இல்லாக் கரங்களிலும்
அகிம்சை உண்மை ஆயுதமே

நாங்கள் மௌனம் உடைத்தவர்கள் எங்கள் வீர வரலாற்றை
நாங்கள் எழுதி வைத்திடுவோம்
பீனிக்ஸ் பறவை இனம் போல
சாம்பல் மேட்டில் உயிர்த்திடுவோம் நாளை நமக்கே சொந்தமென்று
நெஞ்சை நிமிர்த்திக் கூறிடுவோம்
ஈழத் தமிழர் யாரென்று
உலகம் வியக்கக் கூறிடுவோம்.
