"Southwest Airlines began flying from Boston's Logan International
Airport on Sunday – a move that underscores both Southwest's evolving
business strategy and the fact that the USA’s low-cost carriers are
about out of room to expand without going head to head with each
other.
The addition of Boston accentuates the change in the philosophy at
Southwest, which once steadfastly refused busy congested airports in
favor of underutilized "secondary airports" where it could dominate
business and quickly turn around its planes and get them back in the
