New Year's Day 300Km and 200Km Brevets and 107Km Pop

LSR,

On New Year’s Day LSR has 200Km and 300Km ACP Brevets with a start time of 7:30am from Willow Park. There is also a 107Km Populaire with a start time of 9:30am from Willow Park.

I-30 Construction (Should not be an issue on New Year's Day):

I-30 and I-20 construction. I-30 and I-20 from I-820 to past Aledo Farmer Road has a massive construction project in progress. Most of the entrance and exit ramps are closed. Most of the access roads are closed. Traffic is snaked around all of the work going on. It is a major pain in the bottom, but when it is done the interstate will be four lanes in each direction and there will be new exit and entrance ramps. They promise two lane access roads with get this, pedestrian and bike lanes. All that said, please leave extra time and use some sort of crowd sourced map application like Waze, Google Maps, Tele-Nav, or Apple Maps to get you to the ride start.

Lights and reflective gear are required for the 200Km and 300Km brevets. These are very hilly routes and expect to take longer to complete them. Welcome to Parker County.

The 107Km pop is a scenic lollipop to Granbury and back taking a slightly easier and shorter way back.

The 200Km brevet is a brand new route based on several other routes such as Rattlesnake Roundup, Dinosaur Junior, and No Time for Tin Top. It stops at Granbury, Tolar, Lipan, Weatherford, and back to Willow park. And here is the good news…no more extra miles, it is exactly 200Kms.

The 300Km follows the 200Km route for the first 50 miles, then heads to Glen Rose, Hico, Bluff Dale, Lipan, Weatherford, and back to WIllow Park.

After the ride Dana and I are gong to eat an early dinner at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop right next to the ride start. You are all welcome to join us.

Here are the normal instructions I include.

Pay attention because there are four steps to this email that require some work on your part.

Step 1: Open the attached Waiver PDF for the ride you want to do, fill it out, print it, sign it, scan or photo it, email that to Dan Driscoll dandri...@me.com and Gary Gottlieb gary.p....@me.com. Do this no later than 7:00pm the night before the event. Keep the signed paper copy and bring it with you to the ride start.

Step 2: Go to the below URL and load that route into your Wahoo or Garmin if you have one of those.

107Km Pop:

Step 3: We are using the above RWGPS links for these rides. If you want a paper cue sheet email me a request and I will get one to you. Otherwise you can print one from the RWGPS link.

Step 4: Open the attached Parking Map PDF, print it, keep it with you so you know where to park.

This rides will use EPP. Take selfies at all of the controls, or save your receipts, or keep your GPS track, or better yet do two of these or all three. If Dan asks you for your proof of passage be prepared to email the stuff to Dan.

When you finish the ride text your elapsed time and RUSA number to Dan Driscoll..

Please email me to get on the ride list. You must email your waiver to Dan and me before you ride. There are no exceptions to this policy.

RUSA and LSR membership are required for this ride.

If you plan to ride NYD, it’s imperative that you renew your membership, I will not have time to check the RUSA Website on the morning of the ride so no waiting until you get to the parking lot to renew. I can not give you credit for any RUSA ride without you being a current member.
