For those of us that live in Dallas near White Rock Lake, I made a new perm that goes from the north end of the lake south to Ferris, TX and back. I have done Rockin' McKinney, K-pop, Dallas Trail Mix and Remix enough times, and I wanted something different and a south tailwind on the second half. Long ago I tried doing Little Stinker, and all I will say is that it is well named.
The new course is a mix of urban, bike trail, and rural. I did the perm yesterday, and I didn't have much traffic (though I did get a flat after going over the rough railroad track after the Trinity Forest Trail). There are a few bumpy spots, but nothing too bad or too long. The two streets that I would call busy are Scyene/352 and Jim Miller, but I was only on them for a block on the way out and a block on the way back. I had one very small dog standing in the street bark at me, but it did not give chase.
After a good rain, the Trinity Forest Trail can get muddy. Since we haven't had rain for a good while, yesterday was no problem.
I plan to tack a 100 km loop on the south end of the course so that I can have another 200 km out of my house. I will post when that happens.
