LA 200km September 20th.

LSR has a 200km on the calendar for September 20th. This ride is special, because it picks up the State of Louisiana, but it’s a long drive to the start, so it might be good to drive down the night before hand. This is a new route, so I’ll be pre-riding it to check it out.

Please let me know off list, soon, if you’d like to join us for the pre-ride or if you’d like to do the Brevet on the actual date, so we can work out a plan that works for as many riders as possible, that are interested and spare the rest of the list our discussion.

Dan, it's been a couple of years since I was out there.  But what I remember, I think there are two motels in Gilmer, and both are owned by the same people.  So not a lot of reason to pick one over the other.  The one I stayed in was okay, they had some glitches in the check-in as I recall, but the room itself was fine.

And a heads-up, it's hilly from Gilmer to Jefferson, flatter thereafter.
