Hi LSRs,

This Friday, I will start a 560-mile journey through Kansas - the Kansas Cannonball 550 gravel race. The route is 80-90% gravel and starts and finishes in Emporia, KS. The event is self-supported and I will carry everything with me on the bike. I plan to finish in 5 days. You can follow me here (my dot is labeled PR):

Peter,

Good luck on this adventure. Since this is in Kansas, if you need carbs you can grab an ear of corn from a field you're riding by. Emoji

Keep the seat in the air and the tires on the ground.

Cheers,

Gary SmithEmoji

Thanks everyone! I finished the ride in 5 days 3 hours and 25 minutes. We started at 7:15 am on Sept 25th and I finished yesterday at 10:40 am. The route was very challenging with about 85% gravel, some very rough roads through Flint hills of Kansas, sand, lots of mud on the first day and some bushwhacking through and overgrown unmaintained road that became a swamp. A great adventure for sure!

I will post pictures in the LSR Facebook group

Peter
