LSR,

I am hosting an ACP 400K brevet out of Willow Park on Saturday September 25th.  The 400K route is the old Willow Park via Weatherford 400K with a little scenic detour via Baker Road and a lunch stop at Burger King in Clifton. Since we are starting early in the morning and finishing late at night we will take the old way we used to go out to Weatherford and back.

Start time is 5:00am. This is so we can beat the store closings in Bluffdale and Lipan.

The ride will start at the usual Willow Park brevet start.  That is the southeast corner of I-20 and Ranch House Road in Willow Park.  Park in the Brookshire’s parking lot behind the Chevron along the row of bushes.  In case you are new I have attached a diagram that shows where the brevet starts and finishes and where to park.

Email me back to get on the roster.

There is a motel next to the ride start.  It’s a Quality Inn.  Here is their phone number: (817) 764-2515.  Or you can book online at www.choicehotels.com.

Here is the RWGPS link:

Rider list so far:

Gary G., Dana P., Pam W.

See you Saturday in the wee hours of the morning,

Gary

Gary, put me down.
I'll be camping out in the Quality Inn Friday night and Sunday morning after the ride.
I recommend the after-the-ride stay for anyone traveling, to avoid killing oneself trying to drive home all sleepified.
If anyone isn't familiar with the place, there is a back entrance- you can turn on Ranch House Road, go south to the first street, go west to a rear entrance, and avoid driving 5 miles around the "block" on the freeway.
Rates are lower since last time I stayed there- $62 single, $67 double, including "Senior Rate/ AARP".  Age for "Senior" is 60+.
Thanks,
Stephen H
