Hi all!

LSR is hosting a 161k on January 10, so you may as well start your Rouleur checklist for 2026 :)
  • a 100-124 km populaire (plan on Jan 1's 100k pop)
  • a 125-149 km populaire (Maybe Pavey on Jan 3)
  • a 150-199 km populaire (Cricket Crunch will do it!)
  • a 200-220 km brevet (You know those are a dime a dozen for LSR)
  • an 8-hour Dart populaire team randonnée of 120 km or longer. At least three team members must finish the ride together for this event to count for the award. (In a perfect world, Scary Gary will host 1 or 2 Dart rides this year to knock this one out too)

Heads Up:
The Crowley store has good parking, but if more than a few cars will be there, I need to verify it's good with store mgmt.  If not, might need Dollar General as Plan B

LSRs,

Since Dan and Pam are out of town this weekend, I will be hosting the Crowley Cricket 161k ride on Saturday. If anyone is interested to join me, please email me the signed waiver.
This is a great route, I enjoyed it when we rode it last year. Most roads are low traffic. There is a short gravel section on CR 317 (about 0.75 miles, mile 16.6 to 17.4).

Start time: 8:00 am (that should give us enough time to finish in the daylight but bring lights / reflective gear just in case)

Weather forecast: Mostly sunny, high 56F, low 35F, so it may be chilly at the start. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph - since the route goes south, we will have tailwind on the way out and headwind on the way back.

    See you on Saturday!

    Peter

    Update for tomorrow's ride:

    Riders so far: Rob, Peter

Weather: 40F and sunny at the start, high 56, wind from NNW at 15-17 mph will be a challenge on the way back

If anyone else is considering joining us, let me know and send me and Dan a signed waiver.

    Take care,

    Peter
