Join us April 27, 2024, for an Audax 100k ride.
On an Audax ride, we all stick together, and try to stick to the set schedule, no faster, no slower. This generally makes it a more relaxed ride and avoids getting rushed out of controls, etc.
Start Location: Exxon Tiger Mart/ Pilot, northwest corner of I-35E and Hwy 34, Hillsboro, Texas. Park out behind the Denny's.
Start Time: 8:00 AM

The schedule works off a paper cue sheet, attached. Take a look over this, if you see any edits, let me know, and I'll re-issue prior to ride time.
Requirements:
All riders need RUSA membership. See the RUSA website for details.
All riders need Lone Star Randonneurs membership. See the LSR website. Please get any payment in to Dan prior to the ride, don't bring payment to the ride start.
Waivers are attached. Complete the waiver, sign, date, scan, email to both me and Dan, and then bring the original to the ride start.
Current forecast: High of 82, low of 68, scattered thunderstorms/ wind, 53% chance of rain, winds from S at 22 mph. This route is largely east-west, so we can deal with the wind, but will keep an eye on the moisture and hope that improves. Ride is officially "on" rain or shine, but weather obviously impacts participation.

Correction: Ride start is ITALY, Texas, at Hwy 34 and I-35E, not sure how "Hillsboro" inserted itself!!!

High of 82, low of 69, windy with scattered afternoon thunderstorms, winds SSE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
So, we will be watching this pretty closely, and hopefully, can sneak our ride through before any bad weather.
One item to note: UAF ride requires 4 riders to start, 3 to finish, to qualify, so if for any reason you decide not to ride, please let me know ASAP.
