Randos,

8:00pm - Rider Check In
Saturday May 26th:
6:00am - Rider Check In
7:00am - ACP 200K, 300K, 400K, and 600K Brevets
Sunday May 27th:
TBA - 600K Brevet continues
Monday May 28th (Memorial Day):
6:00am - Rider Check In
7:00am - RUSA 205K Brevet
You got it, that's up to 800 RUSA Ks up for grabs over three great days of riding!
You need to book your rooms now. Mineral Wells has many other Memorial Day weekend events. Ask for the "Bike Race" rate. The phone number for the Mineral Wells Executive Inn is
940-328-1111.
Also I will have my room for all of Monday night. So you can stash extra bikes and other stuff in there while you are riding Monday after you check out or a take quick shower before your drive home.
In the true spirit of randonneuring all routes will be unsupported with one exception, the 400K route will have a couple gallons of water stashed at the control in Brad depending how many sign up. All of the other routes have plenty of stores along the way. There will be no SAG fees.
As far as post cards go it is a good idea to bring a couple of them with you. All Saturday 400Kers need a post card for Brad. Monday 205Kers need a post card for Caddo. I will have some "Scary Gary Forever Cards" available at sign up for 50 cents. That is a 3x5 card and a forever stamp.
Mineral Wells is located one hour west of Fort Worth. The rides all go to the west and south of there in the Possum Kingdom Lake, Ranger, and Lake Palo Pinto area. All routes are extremely low traffic with spectacular views and endless rolling hills. It is one of my favorite places to ride.
Email me back with the rides you want to do. If you are on the fence as far as what distance or ride you might consider let me know so I have enough cards and cues for everyone.
Let's make this a great holiday weekend of comrade, fun, and lots and lots of cycling!
Gary G.
