Hi all,
Dan got the ball rolling and here are details so far for this weekend.  May as well get your R12 ride done before weather starts getting in the way :)  Ol' faithful & challenging routes out west, but weather looks good for avoiding our traditional death marches in the heat...and thus this old brevet card!

Hi all,
Not too late to join us out west Saturday.  May as well get your R12 ride done before weather can really get in the way :)  Ol' faithful & challenging routes out west, but weather looks good for avoiding our traditional death marches in the heat...and thus this old brevet card!  Note the weather forecast has gotten a little chillier at the start and a bit more NE wind.

Hi all!

LSR is hosting a new (Rando Scout!) Pop to celebrate our vollies... and we are ALL volunteers!!  New route Jerry Austin created using mostly the Trinity Trail, which gives great options for stops and a great route for all riders.   The scoop, so far, is below.  To get on the list, just email Dan and me your waiver and bring the hard copy to the start.  You must be an LSR member to ride and if you aren't yet, your timing is perfect.  Any members joining now will have their membership good for all of 2026.  That's it!

Thanks to Jerry and Rob for collaborating with verifying services, low water crossings, detours, etc!

Ride Details:
  • LSR Membership Required - If you're just joining, your membership will be good through Dec 2026!  Please be double-dog sure you use "Friends & Family" when sending your payment.

  • WAIVER - attached.  Please sign and email back to Dan and me.  BRING YOUR ORIGINAL TO GIVE TO DAN BEFORE START.
  • FINISH - TEXT DAN YOUR RUSA # AND FINISH TIME FOR RESULTS.
  • RWGPS:    Panther City Pedal Populaire
  • Park:  Clearfork Bike Mart/Press Cafe parking area.   4801 Edwards Ranch Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76109.
  • Start:  8:30am.  (Be prepared for parking to be filling up with vendors & trail users). Water & RR at start.
  • Weather:  Will share Epic Ride Weather next week
  • Sun:  Sunrise 7:12am
  • Cue Sheets:  Attached is a pdf from RWGPS
  • **NOTE THERE WILL BASICALLY BE NO SERVICES (EXCEPT FOR PORTA POTTIES) THE FIRST 46 MILES**

Heads Up:
If you're unfamiliar with Clearfork, this is a very popular parking/trail entry with a LOT of activities on this particular day.  We should be out before things really kick off, but we pass back by at mile 46, when things WILL be busy, and of course again at our finish.  Please be aware this area may be very congested and stay very aware of foot/stroller/dog/bike traffic.  Some of the activities:
5:50-7:15a. Sunrise art/light show
7a-10p.       Press Cafe open
9-10a.         Yoga at the trail entry
9a-Noon.    Farmers Market
9a-5p          Bike Mart open
10a-6p        Santa (maybe we can take an LSR photo!)

Services:
Since CFW turns off water to several trail services, Jerry and Rob have collaborated to verify a lot of these, most importantly, the trailhead potties/water at mile 0 and 46.  They are noted on the attached cue sheet and a summary is below.  As you'll see below, other than potties, the cars (M46) are the most logical food resupply if needed.
