108k Audax/ UAF Ride, April 12, 2025, Italy, TX

Come join us Saturday, April 12, for an Audax/ UAF 100k ride out of Italy, Texas.

This is an Audax ride.  That means we all stick together as a group, and try to maintain a set pace and schedule.  We will have captains appointed at the front and rear of the group, and nobody gets ahead of the front captain or behind the rear captain.  The set pace is generally 14 mph.  See more on Audax rides here:  https://rusa.org/pages/audax-intro   See the links at the bottom of this page also.

Start location:  Exxon Tiger Mart, at the northwest corner of Hwy 34 and I-35E in Italy, Texas.  Park out behind the Denny's.
Start time:  8:00 AM.

RUSA membership is required.  See the RUSA website for details.
Lone Star Randonneurs membership is required.  See the form on the LSR website.  Get the signed form and money to Dan prior to the ride.  Please do not pay at the ride start.
A waiver is attached.  Fill it out, print it, sign it, scan it, email it to me and to Dan, and bring the original to the ride start.
A cue sheet is attached, showing the schedule we'll follow.

Due to being an Audax ride, we must have at least 4 riders at the start, and at least 3 finishing (irrespective of number of bikes).

Current long-range forecast:  Sunny, high of 82, low of 61, 4% chance of rain, winds at 15 mph from south.  Long-range forecasts can change a lot, so check back the forecast closer to the ride and be prepared for whatever weather we have.

Fresh off the press, Charlie Adams from West Texas will be joining us for this UAF ride, if you’ve not met Charlie or don’t know him you’ll not want to miss this opportunity to do so.  

Charlie was the West Texas RBA and a he’s a K-Hound, and a hell of a good guy. 

We will all meet up after the ride at the Italy Mexican Restaurant for a Rando Pow Wow…..Even if you don’t ride come out for a late lunch and join the party………
