I went to a fundraiser in Louisville on Thursday night, (not for
Senator McConnell) and he was there.
By the way, Mitch is glad that it's Obama and not Clinton heading the
Democratic ticket in the fall.

A letter from Mitch McConnell.

Today I received a letter from Ditch Mitch...excerpts from it
follows.

----------
" I need your help.

I've sent this important message by Air Gram, because your action
today
can make a critical difference for my reelection campaign.

Left-wing special interest groups are lying about my record, and my
wealthy opponent is all too willing to follow their lead.

And I'm asking for you to help me strike back on both counts right
now.

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO RUSH AN URGENT CONTRIBUTION OF $100, $55, OR
$35 TO THE MCCONNELL SENATE COMMITTEE USING THE ENVELOPE I'VE
PROVIDED......(let me interject that he's asking for money and there
is no stamped envelope enclosed). hmmm maybe that's against the
rules.

Our campaign is preparing a massive direct mail effort setting the
record straight about my accomplishments....and taking Bruce Lunsford
to task for allowing Washington Democrats and far-left special
interest groups to set his agenda for him....(let me interject
here...while I on the other hand allow far-right special interest
groups to set my agenda...big smile).

Specifically, I believe voters across the Commonwealth deserve to
know
that Bruce Lunsford's biggest cheerleaders, Dem. Sen. Leader Harry
Reid
and the Sierra Club---
want to shut down Kentucky's coal industry and block our attempts to
reduce American dependence on on Middle Eastern oil.

I want all our neighbors to know that I've proposed sweeping energy
legislation that will increase domestic energy exploration, lower gas
prices and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

BUT, I have to raise $200,000 more in order to get his message out
there, and I can't do that without your immediate response.

Will you help me right away? Please send your gift of $100, $55, $35,
or whatever you can afford as soon as possible so our campaign can
strike back against FALSEHOODS and MISLEADING ATTACKS our opponents
are spreading every day.

You know that the price of energy is one of those "KITCHEN TABLE"
issues that all voters care about intensely.

BUT did you know that Harry Reid...one of the Washington INSIDERS (oh
please Mitch) giving Bruce Lunsford his marching orders....said that
coal makes me "SICK?"

Page #2
_______

And did you know (yawn) that his is actively supported by the radical
zealots at the Sierra Club, who don't even believe there is sure a
thing as clean coal technology? In fact the Sierra Club has already
bought radio ads attacking me this year.

I guess the Sierra Club is willing to support someone like Bruce
Lunsford.....who makes a habit of leaving Kentucky in his private jet
when he's tired of campaigning...if
they know he'll fall in line with their misguided agenda if he gets
to
Washington.

But I know Kentucky voters, and they aren't going to buy this act as
long as they know the full truth of the matter.

That's why your CONTRIBUTION is so important.

I'd be happy to just spread my vision and talk to about my
accomplishments for the people of Kentucky, lowering TAXES, creating
NEW JOBS, SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS in a WAR on TERRORISM and leading
Senate Rep's against THE LIBERALS' DESTRUCTIVE AGENDA.

But the fact is there are so many of these outside groups ATTACKING
ME....The Sierra Club, DailyKos, MoveOn.org, Americans United for
Change,Trial Lawyers, Big Labor bosses, and a few more may rear their
heads in Kentucky any day now.

I have NO CHOICEbut to DEFEND MYSELF from these reckless campaign
tactics and I KNOW YOU WANT ME TO FIGHT AGGRESSIVELY for every vote
across the state.

I have a REAL RACE on my hands that will be competitive until the
end. In fact, the highly respected Cook Political Report recently
moved this race into a more competitive category than they had
initially rated it saying, "the idea that Lunsford can now
OUTSPEND...MCCONNELL..does add a degree of uncertainty to the race."

SO PEEEEAAAASSSEEE sent your contribution of $$$$100, $$$44, or even $
$35 as soon as possible.

THANK YOU for your continued friendship and support.

Sincerely,
Mitch McConnell

P.S. You have been such a good friend in my fight to win another term
in the fight to win another term in the Senate and continue working
for our values in Washington

I NEED YOUR HELP..now more than EVER before. I need to show the
people of KY the truth about my record and Bruce Lunsford's liberal
agenda. I have a plan to reduce the COST OF GASOLINE. He doesn't and
neither do the liberal groups supporting
him............continued......I wouldn't ask if it was not ABSOLUTELY
CRITICAL...
Thank you ....(ditch mitch)

AMEN......
YAWN.....

I agree Obama would be the easier of the two, but I'm still
disappointed not to watch Hillary get beat in November. After the
disrespectful treatment she gave General Petraeus before a Senate
hearing I wanted her to be humiliated by the voters. In my opinion she
is such a self serving corrupt ego maniac. Dick Morris is still
begging Congress to call him to testify against the Clinton's.
According to him, Bill is an angel compared to her. And if anybody
knew, it would be him.

Mitch has no worries in November because he will win BIG. No doubt,
that's a given.
