No Idea.

I am going to guess.... Making a bed with 2 flat sheets rather than a
fitted and a flat??

I'd never heard of "hospital corners" until a cousin from Michigan
spent the night with me when I was about 12. She showed me the trick
and I've been making the bed that way ever since.

I had to make the bed tonight and I hadn't thought of that term for a
long time. I posted it because I was just wondering if that's a term
people in Kentucky know. Apparently it is...

My Mother taught me to make the bed and we called it military
corners. I am sure it is the same. To this day I can not take a
shortcut or omit.....lol

Sittu, Can you also get a quarter to flip on a military made bed? That
was always my mother's test to see how I'd done.

A nun in nursing school taught me to make hospital corners. I also can
make an occupied bed. I also learned an easy way to put a pillowcase
on.

Does anybody know how to short sheet a bed? That the only thing I
remember...

It's easier to demonstrate than explain....but you grasp the middle of
the end seam of the pillowcase and turn it inside out...then grasp one
end of the pillow ( with the hand still holding the pillowcase )and
pull the case over the pillow. To me it's easy. My Mom thought it was
neat.
