Hey guys! Here's the minutes from yesterday's meeting. I'll see some of you this afternoon in Balch at 2:30PM with the meeting with Therese. ~K.C.Click to open:
TBTT Meeting 7/26/10
● Website:
○ Divide up FAQ section and answer questions (e-mail me answers if you can’t edit inidividually, but I’ll look into privacy settings so that you can)
○ Have Erin fix logo on page
○ Figure out a way to rename the site, so that it’s found more easily
○ Please look over the web site for general feedback about formatting and info; anything else we should include?
● Meeting with Therese:
○ Focus on sales for freshmen, in particular, who might not already have reusable bottles or be familiar with the issue
○ Clarify type of bottle for trial run of 400 bottles to sell; and where they’ll be sold
■ mention that stainless steel bottles will likely sell better than the BPA free plastic bottles
○ Ask what other materials they need from us for outreach
○ Ask to still include info sheet and pledge with reusable bottles
○ Potential participation in “Move-In Day” and Block party? (Check with Kela, Kristen’s schedules; K.C. will probably not be available)
○ Idea of observational study of water fountains in dining locations
■ mention having separate spigots for water versus soda due to taste
● Slope Day/Repair the World
○ Figure out budget for giving out bottles in 2011
○ Figure out water source and/or compostable cups
○ Discuss idea of giving free meal ticket or something similar to students who bring (empty) reusable bottle in future years (instead of giving out bottles every year)
○ Set up meeting soon with Student Activities Office (Joe Scaffido) and Orly Halpern (Repair the World)
● Orientation:
○ TBTT Presentation at “Sustainability at Cornell” event on Tues. 8/24 at 5:30;
