The fun of a CityMusic event takes on the intimacy of one-to-a-part
chamber music, when world-renowned artists -- violinists Kyung Sun Lee
and Peter Salaff and cellist Edward Arron -- join musicians from the
CityMusic Cleveland orchestra -- violinists Catherine Cosbey and Zsolt
Eder, violists Charles Krenner and Eric Wong, and principal cellist
Keiko Ying.
They're teaming up to play two gorgeous masterpieces: Schubert's
String Quintet and Mendelssohn's Octet.
Bring your family & friends to hear for yourself what
CoolCleveland.com calls "spellbinding"!
With a mission to build community through the arts, CityMusic offers
music to please everyone -- whether you're new to classical music or a
seasoned concertgoer.
BE PREPARED
Visit the CityMusic Cleveland website for Program Notes on each
concert, by program annotator Yvonne Frindle. There are musical
excerpts you can list to, as well as intriguing information about the
composers and the music. Original drawings -- like this one of Franz
Schubert -- are done just for us by CityMusic violist, Charles
Krenner, who holds the Schoenberg Chair in the orchestra.
