The Journey North's fall monarch roost maps, Monarch Watch's tag recovery data, and numerous observations sent to me by Texas Monarch Watch volunteers are all largely consistent with the Texas Flyway map first suggested by Dr. Bill Calvert.

In 2003, Journey North began constructing maps of the monarch's fall overnight communal roosts.
