Hi, TWBC Folk,

Before I launch into the ride info, I need to ask if someone can send me a copy of our TWBC logo to forward to Metro Parks.  They want to add it to the T-shirt.  Steve Lay? Do you have a copy?  Thanks.

We have been invited back to support Metro Parks and the Black Cat Run on 10/22.  I'm forwarding an e-mail reply from Janet Bissell.  The ride meets at the Point Defiance Entrance at 6:30 PM.  I'm looking for at least 10 more riders to join me and 3 other riders to ride around the park in the dark. Yes, you will need lights. Please send a reply directly to me if you want to join us.  We are looking for riders of all abilities as we will be riding loops around the park to keep the runners company.

Thanks so much for your offer! We were very pleased with the way the Wheelman’s handled the event last year. I would hope for 10 or more and a similar pace would be great. Although we have added a 2.5 mile course to the race this year as well, so we could maybe need to get a few to ride that also. There is one thing I would like to request, that is your logo, so that I can put it on our t-shirts. Please send it to me by next week. Thanks so much – I will be in touch closer to the race.

Hi, Ms. Bissell,

Peggy Fjetland passed your card on to me regarding your request for riders to support the Black Cat Run on October 22 at 7 PM.  Our group had such a great time last year, we would love to support you again this year.  I believe we had about 10 riders last year and expect at least the same number this year. I'll be sending an e-mail out to our group to confirm participation. To make sure we are providing what you need, may I ask some questions?

 

Did everything work out OK for you last year?

Did we have about the right number of riders or do you want more?

How was our pacing?

Did we do enough loops to help the runners feel comfortable?

 

I believe everything worked out well last year but wanted to check if you thought the same.  Thanks for inviting us again.  Hope to hear from you soon.
