The appropriately named Dicks Sporting Goods have taken certain rifles off their shelves in response to the school shooting. I have spent quite a few dollars there over the years, but will never buy so much as a stick of gum from them in the future.

Walmart did the same thing. It's a pr move and in 6 months they'll quietly bring them back.

All corporations do things someone hates. It is a good thing doing business with most of them is optional.
