HB 1470 was in the same sub-committee today and was rolled two weeks without comment. Ragan’s assistant told me that the discussions about the bill were “normal” for legislation.

The bill implementing an “Idaho stop light” law was in House Transportation sub-committee Wednesday and was postponed until next Wednesday. When the bill came up for consideration, before he even described the bill (the usual action), the sponsor, Rep. Ragan, asked that that Rep Vince Dean be recognized. Dean is Chair of the full House Transportation Committee. Dean moved that the bill be rolled for one week. There was no other discussion.
Without knowing the facts (which won’t stop me from speculating) I would guess that someone has a problem with the bill. I don’t know if it’s Dean or someone else.
