TABLE MOUNTAIN TRAILERS - Saturday 25th January 2025 - Maiden’s Cove -Lions head circuit

Hi Trailers,

In a variation on our usual Signal Hill/Lion’s Head route we’ll start and finish at the Maiden’s Cove tidal pool this week so that we can reward ourselves with a refreshing dip to calm those hot, tired muscles after our run. 

We meet at the car park at Maiden’s Cove Tidal Pool/Braai Area, Clifton, and head up to Lion's Head and along to the end of Signal Hill through the Glen trail. The route will be about 12km with options to extend up the Lion's neck for those seeking more.

We'll start running at 6.30am, so please be ready and signed in by 6:25am.

Walking group – TBC on Friday.

Please bring: WATER, WATER AND MORE WATER, sunblock, weather appropriate clothing, a whistle, a space blanket and ICE (In Case of Emergency) tag or card.

Bring a cozzie and a towel for a swim afterwards  

Unfortunately no dogs are allowed on our runs.

Hi Everyone!

Wow, this week has been a roller coaster of weather!  YR weather app tells me it's going to be 20 degrees at 6am and 25 by 9am so we'll be thankful of the cold water in the pool after the run.

You may have seen some reports about muggings on the Sea Point side of Signal Hill recently. We will hopefully be up earlier than the muggers, but we'd like to ask everyone to stick together this week in this area. 

If the faster group wants to extend the run, they can do so by climbing up a little of the Lion's neck and we could then all meet up at the beacon or the Kramat to run together through the hot spot. We won't be going to the Noon Day Gun on this run.
