Anyone have experience with tub cuts?

Dear Everyone,

I am looking for an easier way to get in and out of my bathtub with a shower. I live in an apartment so I am responsible for paying for accessibility modifications and have to get approval from thr landlord. 

Does anyone have experience with a tub cut that could improve my ability to get in and out of the bathtub? It is a cut into the outer tub wall. Does anyone know how to control the water from gushing out of the cut area?

Please let me know.

Hi

There are companies that make walk in tubs. Ask about the heated seat ones as you have to be inside the tub when it’s being filled up and emptied. 

See if insurance will pay for one or not.
