Hi people,

I’m the old fart that plays with Adderall, Turpentine and Pine Needle tea to improve my balance. I’ve been living with my mother-in-law, who has dementia, for about 18 months. Some of my treatments that help me actually help her too, especially her verbal abilities.

My wife and I often put salt in our room humidifier when we feel under the weather. I did this about 2 weeks ago and, to my surprise, it improved my smell significantly. I’ve heard that your sense of smell is the first to go so I thought this very interesting.

There’s a new study out of Harvard linking dementia to a lack of Lithium. So I put some Lithium-Chloride in my water and it worked the same as Sodium chloride. It also helped my mother-in-law, who was sleeping downstairs, in a significant way. I also experienced moments of improved muscle control. (Be careful with Lithium though.)

Lithium, and sodium both appear to improve neural connectivity. If I were a parent of a child with CP I would recommend therapy with lithium to improve neural connectivity. I now put mostly salt, and about a quarter teaspoon Lithium-chloride in my humidifier.

Live well.

Chris
