Position: UI/Node.JS Developer
Location: Irving, TX

6+ month contract

 

• Self-sufficiency on setting up development and simulated production environments in order to cooperatively troubleshoot your component(s) in an overall project solution.
• Ability to write, self-test and document highly reliable software components using best practices, targeting server systems running on a Linux or Windows platform, as required, that conform to project requirements and specifications
• Proven experience with node.js programming ecosystem (and Javascript programming language) and associated object oriented design practices for application development. Prior experience with typescript a plus.
• Ability to setup, optimize and efficiently query SQL database (MS SQL and postgres) including the creation of stored procedures where necessary
• Setup and use of Solr for optimized database searching and reliability
• Ability to setup, optimize and efficiently utilize NoSQL database (e.g. mongo)
• Ability to architect solutions using portable containers that run on premise or on 3^rd party cloud platform(s)
• Strong background in the software as a service programming paradigm
• Software project organizational skills, e.g. use of MSVC IDE, SVN source control and ability to write custom scripts needed to bind together project deliveries so that they can be reliably deployed
• Solid knowledge of computer systems, operating systems and environments
• Thorough understanding of XML, json, SOAP or other protocols used in inter and intra process communications over TCP and/or UDP networks.
