Hey all!
I have some updates from a Community Board 1 meeting last night-
The DOT announced plans that they had hinted at for Richmond Terrace- they are upgrading the existing sharrows between Tysen Street and Snug Harbor Road (an approximate half mile space) to painted, buffer protected bike lanes. No physical protections like jersey barriers are planned at the moment, but they're being considered for the future.
It's a small win when Richmond Terrace needs much more in traffic calming and infrastructure for pedestrians as well as cyclists, but it's a definite upgrade.
They didn't announce a time line but since it's only paint and doesn't involve a change in traffic structure, I figure that they'll have it finished by summer.
