Red light ticket in on Richmond Terrace

Hi all,

Heads up that I was pulled over and given a red light ticket last night at 10 PM on Richmond Terrace near Jersey Street. I did run a red that was just about to turn green to get myself safely into the bike lane because I could sense an SUV speeding up behind me, and that SUV turned out to be NYPD.

The cops seemed to be operating on some sort of orders to pull over cyclists "for their own safety."
