Michael or anyone: do you know of Julia Assante?

I don't know a thing about her, and have only had time to skim the  interview, but she seems like quite an interesting and provocative writer. Anybody familiar with her work?

I've read her book, The Last Frontier, and found it to be really good.  She goes into great detail in terms of connecting with the Other Side.  It's full of detail- I can't say to what extent it's veridical of course!  It's really a manual, a metaphysical how-to.  I first heard her in a Coast to Coast interview, and found her to be grounded and insightful.  If you like what you read on Skeptiko, her book would be a no-brainer.
