This photo was taken by my son near El Paso, TX earlier this year from a mountain top. He described the aircraft as hovering at or just below cloud height (where he could only see it as a small dot) and then shooting almost straight down to the ground and then back up again. It repeated this maneuver several times and then shot straight up and out of sight. He is familiar with military aircraft and air to surface strike capabilities, having witnessed these several time in Afghanistan as an Army officer who had to call in these strikes on Taliban targets over the course of a nine month combat deployment there. He did not mention the UFO making any sound. The photo was taken by him as it began a dive. Having observed the UFO for a few minutes (he thinks it was that long) he is certain that there are no known commercial or military craft that look like it or can perform like it. He is positive that is was not a weather balloon.

What do you think?

Can't tell very much from the picture, but the movement he describes is intriguing, to say the least.

Bruce, there is another picture on his laptop that is more clear when enlarged. Let me see if I can get that one off him as well.

P.S> if anyone wants to tell me that they can identify the object as something known, by all means go ahead and no hard feelings.

Some how I might have a different account name, but it's me "no one". I will ask about it. I had forgotten. I have been insanely busy lately with work.
