Carpool arrangement for Crews' Saturday Return?

Dear NT Crew Parents at home:

 

Do we need to arrange carpool for our crews' Saturday evening return? Are we going to have something special at the airport?

 

I have been monitoring the weather report everyday, the weather seems very cooperative so far, especially compare to the heavy rain/low temperature last week. Hope all our 4 crews have a smooth ride in NT and a safe trip home.

Haha, I just have a very relax week without my son, no clue about how and where and what they are doing since no electric equipment with him, not even a phone.

I will be exciting to hear his story when I see him on Saturday and just wondering which family are still available for two spaces from SF airport?

As a reminder, our NT crews are scheduled to arrive at 7:58pm at SFO airport, via Delta Flight#1505, on Saturday, 8/3. 

(Note that it is NOT SJC airport this time.  Please check online later in the afternoon for its actual arrival time, in case schedule changes.)

Dear Hai-May,

Regarding Karen's question "Are we going to have something special at the airport?" -  If you do plan to do something at the airport, let us know when you need us to be there. BTW, it just dawned on me that Alex Wang will come back as a Triple-Crowner (who has proudly completed all three High Adventures.  Congrats!!  Not sure if any other scouts/adults will have earned the same title.)

Thanks for the flight information and airport reminder!

There will be quite a few Triple-Crown candidates after the NT trip: Brandon, Joshua, Patrick, Kevin, Jackie, Alex and possibly Alicia. 

ChinLing made beautiful welcome necklaces for the Philmont crew last year, really sweet and special, so I am wondering if we will do something similar this time, the only difference is the big crew this year vs the much smaller crew last year. I don't have much talent in craft, I can help if there is a leader, or if the time is too tight, we can hold off until the welcome party.

I brought materials to make necklaces last year. The cost was 2.99 to make three necklaces or 1.99 a necklace at Diddams.

Do we prepare some food for them or eat at INNOUT near by SFO airport ?

如果要漂亮一點就要加工喔  If you want to look nice to be more work

The necklace idea is great. 

Since the schedule is tight and crew budget is tight too, we won't be able to buy individual necklace for everyone. 

I am going to join the hiking practice tomorrow. I won't be able to make 32 necklaces. Just like Lanny said, I will buy the material after the hike. Please reply to the list by noon if you want to make necklace for your crew. I'll take care of crew 3.
