Hi Albert,
http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/Business/LetsFish/2ColumnSubPage/STEL02_165323.html
This link takes you to the website about fishing, and there is a link to the purchase point on the page.
You can also get them at Prairie Portage Canadian ranger’s cabin; this is a slow tedious process, and takes up your trip time.

Hi Kevin,
I just heard that fishing at Canada needs to purchase license on line. Can you let me know the link so I can buy it prior to arrive at NTier next week.
Thanks,
Albert

Subject: Northern Tier Reminders, May
Greeting 2013 Northern Tier Crews! The ice is finally melted on the lakes and the summer season is upon us!
I wanted to give you some reminders and tips for your upcoming trip to Northern Tier.
SALE
First of all our Trading Post is excited to announce a preseason sale in celebration of our 90th anniversary running from now through the end of May. Enter promo code “nt90years” at checkout to save 10%
http://www.northerntiertradingpost.org/
Jungle Boots are included in this sale.
Check in Suggestions
A few suggestions to help make your crew arrival as smooth and stress free as possible are listed below.
- If you have more than one crew in your group, separate your paperwork ahead of time. Each crew checks in separately,
- For traveling pack into soft shell backpacks or duffel bags instead of suit cases. You will carry equipment to your cabin, it is easier to do with duffel or backpack then to try and wheel a suitcase across camp trails. Also 8 suitcases do not fit well into the 2’ x2’ x 4’ crew lockers while you are on your trip.
Enjoy Nature, Step 1 Unplug…
We ask that you be respectful of others with cell phones on base and remind you that they are not permitted in our dining hall, or on the trail.
Important things to remember
While working with your scouts to pack, do not forget to pack a crew first aid kit

Crews traveling to the Canadian Quetico Provincial Park
Ely crews Remote border crossing into Canada, please remember to plan to check in at the US Customs station when you return. The station is located on the East end of Ely, approximately 23 miles from Base. They are open from 8:30-4:30pm, and all crew members will need a passport or passcard. If your crew needs to arrange a shuttle to town to accomplish this for a $50 fee we can accommodate this. Please schedule this during check-in.
Atikokan Crews Traveling into Quetico Provincial Park need to pick up their permit from the park office 108 Saturn Ave, Atikokan, ON prior to arriving at Base. They are open 7 days a week.
Fishing licenses
Fishing licenses should be purchased ahead of time online.
