As I explain in the entry, my main concern with SysML is that at the semantic/engineering level it is just UML with a new coat of paint. While there are some good additions to support the SE process like requirements and parametric capture, the engineering level semantics for the language do not go beyond UML. I expect this to be perceived as a step backward for those using any of the leading SE tools (RDD, Core, etc).
