Downloaded v2.1. Did not install it on the computer but on a USB stick
instead. O/S is Windows XP Pro, SP3.

The GUI is very nice. Congratulations!
Operation seems to be very simple too (setting up, defining tags,
etc).

But when I tried to use it for the first time, I got some problems:
I tagged two folders, one physically present on the computer's hard
disk (location A), the other being a folder on a network drive (and
having a drive-letter assigned to it; refer to this as "location B");
my aim was to copy, at the first instance, specific files from
location A to location B (the latter was empty, to start with); after
this first sync (essentially a copy, as location B was originally
empty), bidirectional sync would be what I wanted to achieve; to copy
only the files that I needed, I defined an inclusion filter (abc*.rtf)
and clicked on Preview; instead of showing me the 8 or so files that
corresponded to the inclusion filter, it showed me about 300 files
that existed location A, with the indication that they would all be
copied to location B. I did not perform the sync.

Does anybody have any idea why this might have behaved this way?
- Could the apparent problem be related to running the app from the
USB stick?
- Have I made a mistake in defining the inclusion filter perhaps? (I
assumed that if I define inclusion filter(s), then *everything* else,
is excluded from the sync; similarly if I define exclusion filter(s)
then *everything* not covered by the filter(s) will be included in the
sync; I have also assumed that "*" and "?" can be used as 'masks' so
that expressions such as *.abc or even something like abc*def?.*kmn*
are valid and understood by the program.

I would appreciate any help in understanding the cause of the above
problems and resolving them.

Thanks

Eric

Hi,
your assumption on the mask is correct. I can't tell why it is not
working, perhaps you could help me.

When you first specify the abc*.rtf, did you add any new files to
it ?
If it is okay with you, could you post a issue report at the
homepage on google code.
