Weekly Blues Classes in Austin!
I will be teaching weekly Blues dance classes with Jeremy Emack at the new location for Austin Uptown Dance (formerly known as Footworks Dance Center). Classes will start on October 3 rd and will be every Wednesday this month at 7:30pm (except Halloween).
The four-week session is just $45 before October 1st . Head to the Classes and Workshops page on www.SweetTProductions.com for more information.
Just spreading the word about the joint workshop weekend being hosted by FOTF and TLP on October 5 th to October 7th here in Austin.
Both studios are bringing in some top-notch talent – Evita Arce, Mike Jagger, Julee Mertz, Elaine Hewlett and Don West – to teach alongside our local instructors like Bill Borgida, Matt Jones, Laura Malloy, Scott Angelius and Laura Glaess. Yours truly will also be teaching an All Levels Blues class during the weekend.
So register now… spots are still available! I've got two links for your perusal:

Blues Boot Camp – Dallas, Texas – October 19th to 21st
If you've heard me preachin' the gospel about a blues workshop event up the road in Dallas, this is it. :-)
Registration is slated to end on September 30th , but there are few event passes left and now there are Dance Only passes for sale. Blues Boot Camp is a three-day workshop/dance weekend geared toward some intense instruction in Blues dance. Our intent is to keep classes smaller than your average workshop, so the students can get more attention from the instructors.
I'll be teaching alongside Don West, and the other instructors are Jerry and Kathy Warwick and Damon Stone and Heidi Fite.
If you haven't already (and shame on you if you haven't), check www.bluesbootcamp.com .
And finally…
Emerald City Blues Festival – Seattle, Washington – November 9 th to 11th
The Emerald City Blues Festival is one of the most prestigious Blues workshop/exchange weekends in the nation, and it's my privilege to attend for the first time. I'll be spinning tunes along with some great DJs – Steven "Dr. Feelgood" Watkins, Peter Loggins, Keith Marszalek and Kelly Porter.
I'll be taking classes from some pretty good folks too… Damon Stone, Heidi Fite, Ria DeBiase, Topher Howard and Mr. Mike Faltesek. I hope to see you in the rotation.
Seattle has wonderful reputation for Lindy Hoppers and Blues Dancers alike… so please check out the event at http://www.emeraldcityblues.com/.
That's a lot, but that's all I got. Take care of yourselves, have a great weekend, and…
I'll see you on the dance floor!
