Climate Action Cottage Grove is hosting an in-person community meeting on Sunday, August 21st (please note the date change), at Noon. The meeting will be held at Coast Fork Brewstation, located at 106 S. 6th Street.
This will be the first follow-up to the Climate Action Town Hall we held in May. The topic of this meeting is to begin to identify projects that may have emerged from the town hall. During the second half of the town hall, we broke up into 5 different topics which included Climate Education, Community Resiliency, Food Systems, Energy, and Transportation. Many good ideas emerged and it’s time to turn one or more into actionable initiatives or project/s.
Please review these documents (or view the attached document) on the 5 topics covered at the town hall and share your thoughts on the following questions:
- Which of the 5 areas of focus (Climate Education, Community Resiliency, Food Systems, Energy, or Transportation) are you most interested in working on?
- Which projects (within your area of interest/s) are most actionable or would you be most excited to work on?
- How much time do you think you could contribute per month to a project with Climate Action Cottage Grove once we got things rolling?
