The 9th International Conference for Electric Power Quality and Utilisation takes place from October 8 to 11 in Barcelona. Well over 200 papers will be presented in 4 parallel sessions on developments in the field of power quality and related fields.

EPQU aims to be a bridge between academia and industry, with 80% of papers coming from academia, and 20% from a variety of industry actors.

Particularly for industry participants, a number of tutorials have been organised on October 8:

1. Practical Power Quality at World-wide Industrial and Commercial Sites
   
2. Cost of Power Quality (based on the results of the European Power Qual= ity Survey)
   
3. Energy Storage for Power Quality and Reliability Applications
   
4. Understanding Power Quality Measurement Results and Fault Disturbances
5. Evolution of Electrical Design Practice in Office Buildings between 2000 and 2005 (based on a survey with electrical designers conducted in 2006)
   
6. Electric Energy Efficiency System: Costs and Benefits
   

The main conference programme takes place from October 9 to 11 , with contributions from around the globe.
