Is there any advice for using the SACD metabase feature to tag the files within ISO images? As my music is on a NAS I would like to be able to access the same metabase from two different machines?

Hi Peter,

is Foobar XML file tagging not good for your purpose?

See Preferences > Tools > SACD tab: "Enable Tags", "Store Tags with ISO"

You can also export CUE file from SACD using sacd_extract - however, that apparently only exports stereo files data.

I agree 100% with Andrej.  I use Foobar and open the SACD ISO images on several different computers and the tags are perfect on all of the computers after it's been tagged once.  However, I have your issue with DVD-A ISO files.  On those, the tags are stored in a separate metabase which needs to be copied to all other computers.  This is exactly why I export all DVD-A ISO files to FLAC.

I recently downloaded Jriver and it seems to read and interpret the SACD ISO tags made in Foobar.  So it's great that two top programs are treating the tags alike.

BTW, my experience above are with Windows computers.  I have no info on Macs.
