"Nightmare"

Ahhh, this is more like it. There were some hiccups in the ep but
overall it was pretty good. Much better than Route 666. Which,
clearly, wouldn't be hard but this was a keeper.

A few things I didn't like.

The dumbass hanging his head out the window for the predictable
beheading by window. Ugh.

Sam's telekinetic powers. I don't think I like him getting more and
more of this "special" aura about him. I'd prefer if he and Dean were
on more of an even keel. Of course, maybe they are and we just don't
know how Dean really fits in all of this. That said, I would rather
have the family as a whole to be connected and not have Sam singled out
as the "special" one. However, in an upcoming ep

we'll see the return of Meg, with daddy Winchester being the target.
So, I may not be disappointed in where this is all going.

Well, I'm off to bed. I hope some of you others pop in and share your
thoughts. I'm sure I'll have more to share tomorrow, after rewatching
the episode....

I've been over at TWoP discussing things but decided I'd come on over
here for a quick post.

This one was better but it wasn't great. I'm with you on the
guillotine window. Krikey that was silly.

I'm not liking Sam's abilities. I can't say that I'm all that
impressed with Jared's acting. He's not awful bit he's not standout
good either. And with you adding on such an intense aspect to the
character and I just don't know that he's going to be able to pull it
off very well. His painful visiony headaches are already a bit much
for me. I don't know. We'll see how it goes.

I just think that Jensen is a much better actor. A more natural actor.
When I'm watching the show I see Dean. Granted, sometimes it's a
shallow "wow, Dean's pretty" thought but I still see Dean. With Sam, I
often see Jared acting. I don't know if that makes sense but....

As was mentioned over at the other board, some of us are not too keen
on Sam's abilities being able to drive the main story arc forward with
Dean pretty much just along for the ride as a protector. I hope that
his purpose is more involved somehow. I will not like it if his
character is marginalized.

Dean is the more compelling character for me and I really hope that
they find a way to balance out his importance with Sam's in the
overarching theme.

Hey all:)

I also liked this eppy. Pretty good for the most part but there's room
for improvement but it's only the first season so I'll give them some
room. I have to after that nasty detour we took down route 666. LOL.
Next week looks good..

Next week's does look good. Dean all tied up and bloody and yelling
that he'll kill them all if they hurt his brother. Awwww. I love
Dean.
