Ah well, no one has posted in my absence anyway. What up wit dat?
Where's my bitches? I don't see any stupendous yappin goin' on and I
gather that Ronni is once again throwing me over for TWoP. Harrumph.
Ok, I'd better get to talking supernatural. Only not much to say
tonight because it's much later than I realized and I have to get up
early in the morn. I liked the show overall I suppose. I threw in
some comments during the recap so I think you can tell where I had some
problems with it.
Loved loved loved the stuff at the end. I knew Meg couldn't be dead
and was a bit disappointed in all of them for buying that so easily.
Especially since this demon is supposed to be so bad-assed. They
should assume that the peeps it has working for it wouldn't be so
easily taken out of the game. Of course, if they assumed she was like
Sue Ann in Faith, and that once the hold Meg had over the daevas was
broken I guess I could buy them thinking that she simply met the same
fate as her. That doesn't excuse John from not being more suspicious
of how easy Meg was "killed". Oh well. I will say that while I knew
it wasn't over, I was not expecting it when John was thrown across the
room. That was a great psyche out, with the calm family interaction
and then them all suddenly getting their sweet little asses kicked all
over the room. I still don't quite get the flare thing. I get that
the light from the flare was to wash out the shadows but Meg said that
the daevas were real and that the shadows were just all that you could
see. So, why would they be neutralized and unable to attack anymore?
Unless, they need their shadows in order to function in this dimension.
Like the only way they can attack is through their shadow attacking
the target's shadow which then inflicts harm on their physical bodies.
Ok, I'll go with that. lol.
Going back to the middle of the ep, my poor wittle Dean:( Actually
telling Sammy what he wanted. Only to have Sammy punch him in the gut
and say that he doesn't want the same thing. As I said in the recap (I
think. lol), I understand that Sam has his own life and that Dean does
indeed need to let Sam live it the way he wants but I just felt so bad
for Dean, knowing that he feels like hunting is all he's ever going to
have. It doesn't have to be that way. Although, you have to wonder
just how normal of a life does Sam really think he can have considering
his telepathetic powers. lol. I call them telepathetic because we've
seen hide nor hair of them since Nightmare. Hell, we haven't even had
a mention of them and you'd think that this episode might bring that up
at some point. I mean, Sam's spidey sense was all tingly because of
Max and his connection to the demon, right? So if Meg is connected to
the demon you'd think that Sam would have sensed/dreamt something. Or
at least wondered aloud why he wasn't sensing/"seeing" anything if Meg
was indeed connected to the demon in some way. I know that she's not
like Max but still, you'd think that he'd at least contemplate why he's
not experiencing any psychic feelings or dreams or anything with them
being so close to the demon, or so close to someone connected to the
demon. Instead, they continue to not acknowledge his "abilities" at
all. So, telepathetic is what I'll continue to call Sam's so-called
"specialness".
I suppose you could say that his wariness about Meg could be demon
sense tingling but it was portrayed more as a common sense deduction at
the improbability of their meeting again in such a way. I would like
to at least have had a mention of his past psychic abilities somewhere
along the line, and since they were once again dealing with something
connected to the demon that killed their mom, this would have been as
good a time as any.
Ok, that's it for now. I hope to see some of ya soon....

Well, sorry peeps. I'll be more careful if I ever decide to recap any
other episodes.
Glad to read that some of you are coming out of the woodwork:)
Lo~
I took a gander at TWoP and didn't see ya the other day so I was
wondering where you'd been. You usually post a lot over there. I
think you can tell where I stood on the show, by the recap. I don't
like Meg either. I really wish they'd cast someone else. Oh well.
Can't always get what ya want.
didn't Dean look as yummy as evuh?! Didn't ya just wanna hug the poor
little guy?
Lo~
The show did have all the elements but I guess I just want them to show
Dean as a little more capable. They seem to give Sam the whole package
but Dean comes off as a goof too much of the time. So that took away
from my enjoyment.
Glad to read ya!

I don't know what I was thinking there. John is his name on the show
and I knew that but for some reason I was thinking it was also his real
name. But, I guess the name that I was thinking of, that was also on
the show, is his middle name, "Dean".
How cute is it that all the actors first names start with "J"? And how
cute was it that John is a smartass like Dean? I think they did a
really good casting job there.
Lo~
I hope they don't make too much of the central arc around Sam. I hope
that Dean plays just as important of a role in it all. Which, it sounds
like maybe he will, with John's "we'll all play a part" at the end of
Shadow. I really think Jeffrey did an amazing job with what little
time he was on screen. The reunion was very touching.
