Firstly, I would like to praise the creators of this fine software,
not only for a simple and elegant solution, but actually writing it in
Java, as well. As a rule, I detest anything that's even looks like
Java, but I can tell that a great amount of thought was put into the
program and the UI. This is a Java application even I will admit to
using.

Now, to my question: I am using an older, rickety iBook G4 800 and
the application runs well enough, but I want to optimize the SNC so
that it runs as well as possible. I have loaded my own 772K
dictionary for English that does away with half of the words that I
will probably never use.

My question is: when SNC loads the dictionary, does it compile it into
a DAWG? or use some other method of parsing? If it uses a DAWG, then
the smaller file is really not necessary. Otherwise, I will stick to
my little dictionary to save on resources.

Finally, I have one one suggestion to make to improve the program.
(Having compared it to all the other programs out there where I had a
huge number of suggestions!) When viewing with the Related Factors
pane open below, I would like the option of being able to double-click
on a factor and have it open in that pane rather than popping up into
a separate window. That way, I can edit both the card and factor
without futzing about with trying to switch between open windows. I
keep the main window open to the full size of the screen.

Other than this, the app seems to be perfect (except for maybe if it
was written in native Cocoa for OS X :D)

Thanks,
Syn
