Writing episodes - can I create a template project

Hi there, I'm writing a sit com and would like to open a new project
for each episode, as most of the factors and characteristics will be
similar (characters, there backstories, etc, settings and so on and so
forth), can I create a template project and then open a new projetc
from the template an rename it as per the episode ?

Also, if I start this work on the trial version and then buy the full
version can I transfer my projects from the trial to the full
version?
